And Yet Again, Rihanna
With a few weeks until her Anti world tour heads to Europe, Rihanna is taking the opportunity to have fun with friends in New York. The other evening saw her step out in a modern spin on 1990s style, elevating her look with crystal-embellished denim boots, part of a collaboration with Manolo Blahnik. Rih has continually redefined traditional notions of ladylike dressing in cloudlike looks from Simone Rocha and girly tracksuits from Sean John. Last night, however, she went for a futuristic slant on the feminine, in cool Gucci green.
With the inherent wow factor of the sheer lace dress, Rih’s look transcended convention. While her Gucci frock provided an elegant and captivating base, cool accessories lifted the ensemble. Dior’s Diorever bag—which we saw on Kendall Jenner at the Paris collections—added a metallic pop and complemented Rihanna’s below-the-knee boxing boots for a knockout ensemble. In true bad gal form, naturally.
